Together with two fellow jury members he will be assessing the final entries based on clarity, graphic sharpness, placement and technical execution.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI believe signs are an essential part of a building\u2019s function and an expression of the environment they represent. They can both elevate and drag down the overall mood of a place\u201d, he says.<\/p>\n<p>The Swedish Sign Awards competition is organised each year by Ljus\u00adreklamf\u00f6rbundet in collaboration with the magazine Ljuskultur. The purpose of the award is to highlight the quality designs of illuminated signs throughout Sweden. In addition to Ronnie Forsberg, the jury includes Viveca Rosencrantz, Architect at Fojab Architects and Jan M\u00f8ller, Senior Creative at Identity Works. The award ceremony will take place this autumn.<\/p>\n<p>The five nominees are Barbaresso in Malm\u00f6, Misshumasshu in Stockholm, Hallarna in Halmstad, Sj\u00f6magasinet in Torsby and Stigbergets Fot in Stockholm. Their entries can be seen at <a href=\"https:\/\/ljuskultur.se\/artiklar\/fem-i-final\/\">Ljuskultur.se<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think all five entires are great examples of modern illuminated signage design.
