Wester+Elsner Architects gets a new committed partner

It is Fredrik Rosell who is now joining the ownership collective, after many years as architect in charge of assignments.

“I feel a strong loyalty to the company, which ensures that we can continue to think long-term together. We believe in the future,” he says.

On this particular day, Fredrik Rosell is travelling from the head office in Stockholm to Mora and Hudiksvall to meet clients and partners. He enjoys travelling and looking around the country, but above all he wants to be on the ground in the places his team is developing – and meet face-to-face with the people he works for. Fredrik is very sociable, which is a strength of an architect.

– Yes, I really think so. The joy of meeting other people is helpful in this profession. When you have a good relationship, it’s easier to talk about things, which is especially important in complicated processes,” he says.

Fredrik Rosell has worked at Wester+Elsner since 2007 and has been the architect in charge since 2015. He is involved in several projects along the Norrland coast, including the district courts in Hälsingland and Ångermanland. A few years ago, he was a driving force in the start-up of Wester+Elsner’s Gothenburg office. With this co-ownership, he looks forward to developing his skills in business development.

– I think the learning curve will be steep. It will be great fun to delve deeper into entrepreneurship and also get involved in the role as an employer. Ever since Wester+Elsner was founded, the well-being in the workplace has been a winning factor and I want to cherish that legacy, he says.

The partner group has previously consisted of Ola Larsson, Anna Du Rietz, Ivar Kandell, Kajsa Axelsson, Christian Merkel and Fredrik Elsner – who is the founder, CEO and majority owner. Here is what he says about his namesake:

– Fredrik is a dedicated and extremely knowledgeable architect and also a positive person. It feels natural and fun to welcome him to the circle of partners at Wester+Elsner architects. Now we look forward to handling the challenges of the industry in the best way together and taking new steps forward.
